The All Breed Dog Grooming Guide®, with instructor, Cathy Goldstein. This first-of-a-kind textbook utilized the input from every AKC breed club and several national AKC breeders to develop a standardized curriculum including breed specific guidelines with step-by-step grooming instructions to adapt show styles to pet style.

Innovation that Changed an Industry

Sam owned several pet related businesses and fate led him to take a course at the New York School of Dog Grooming owned by Ben Stone. A few years later bought the school. Since 1970 Sam and his wife, Cynthia, expanded and changed the course of history. Sam created the first licensed school of dog grooming in the State of New York, He then developed the first textbook, The All Breed Dog Grooming Guide®, with instructor, Cathy Goldstein. This first-of-a-kind textbook utilized the input from every AKC breed club and several top AKC breeders to develop a standardized curriculum including breed specific guidelines with step-by-step grooming instructions to adapt show styles to pet style.
