The small medium tine comb has a unique finger hold to allow you to still hold the comb with your finger while scissoring.  The ultra light weight is more ergonomic, putting less stress on hands. This smaller size is an ideal finishing comb for the head, muzzle and eye area, especially for dogs and cats that may be small, head shy or have vision issues. Carbon combs cause less breakage with wire coats.
