Hand Stripping Lave Pumice Stones

These natural pumice  stones are ideal for hand stripping. Pumice easily grips dead coat and fits in either hand. If the stone is too wide, it is easily to cut in half. The more porous natural lava stones work well for harsher more coarse coats. They can strip more coat out quickly.

 ProTip:

Card the coat first to get required undercoat removed. Then hand strip by pulling the hair straight out without twisting or bending your wrist; otherwise the hair gets cut or breaks. You should see a bulb at the end of the hair to show that it was pulled out at the follicle. Ideally hand stripping should be every 3-4 weeks. Coarser stones can cause bald spots if used to repeatedly in an area or of there is uneven pull pressure.
