This in-person seminar series with Lisa Herbold, and Sheryl Woods focuses on animal handling in the pet grooming environment.
Starting at 10:00 AM, spend the morning learning about dog behavior, spotting problems before they progress, keeping the dog calm and teaching it to accept grooming. Starting at 1:00 pm, the afternoon will be all about cats. Cats are very different from dogs, keeping the cat calm and cooperative, then tools and techniques to use.

About the Instructors
Lisa Herbold, ICMG, MPAe, MGBS, CAH, PGC, FFC, PTI, and author of Pet Health & Safety Guide, is an International Certified Master Groomer, Award Winning Competitor, Master Pet Aesthetician, Master Behavior Specialist, educator, and has served as Veterinarian Technician with 30+ years’ experience working in veterinarian emergency services, professional grooming and teaching CPR/first aid. She is also author of the Nominated for 2025 New Book of The Year by Barkleigh Honors, Pet Health and Safety Guide.
Sheryl Woods - Sheryl graduated from the Academy of Dog & Cat Grooming Arts in Arlington Heights, IL in 2009. She opened Wet Whisker as an in home, aka house call, mobile grooming specifically for cats. Sheryl has taught cat grooming locally & nationally and helped co-found the Holistic Cat Groomers Alliance (since 2014). The HCGA is a professional organization designed to education & training cat groomers using innovative techniques that reduce the cat’s stress levels.
