Product description

Do you always wonder how other salons manage to be booked months in advanced or a year in advance.? How do they get clients to not just re-book but to commit to a schedule? How do they organize themselves so they have breathing space for work-life balance?

Learn the art of appointment staging. Learn to organize and communicate with new and current clients to develop a consistent schedule and an annual booking system. Maximize your time while having most of your clients scheduled for a year - all without using a  computer.

This low tech class does not require fancy software or computers. Learn with a simple calendar and with scheduling theory to create the perfect appointment calendar which can stay as is or be applied to your current software program. Hollus will teach you her techniques that changed her from call-ins to annual bookings within a year.  Become a dream groomer instead of doormat.

We will announce in our Events Calendar when the next seminar will be.

 Topics covered:
  • The psychology of consumers.
  • How to organize existing clients into a full calendar year and still have space to maneuver more grooms.
  • Learning to communicate with clients verbally and in writing.
  • Develop targeted communication in the in-take form that sets the foundation to create schedules.

About the Instructor

Hollus Gessler is a successful pet boutique and grooming salon owner with over 30 years’ experience with animals and business. Hollus began working at a large advertising agency in New York City after graduating from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. She later decided to switch careers into an animal related venture and gained experience working as a hospital administrator with training as a veterinarian technician at the Chicago Veterinarian Emergency Center where she worked under Jerry Klein, currently the lead veterinarian for AKC.

Ultimately Hollus combined both her backgrounds. She opened her first pet retail location in Chicago in 2005, followed by a second location in 2011 which included grooming. To better understand grooming, she attended a grooming academy and apprenticed under a standard poodle breeder/show exhibitor/2nd Gen Professional Groomer. She now is the lead Groomer at her salon.
